What we do
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare team within MASP work with people who have got into trouble with the law by contacting others when they did not wish this, perhaps leading to a charge or conviction for harassment or stalking. Often this brings with it difficulties with obsessive thoughts about others that are hard to stop or difficulties moving on from a relationship or dispute.
We offer a range of interventions to help you to find ways to cope and discover new ways to build a life that you value.
All our interventions are delivered by a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare psychologist and available face to face or via videolink and you will be offered the intervention that best suits your needs. These include Breaking the Pattern, Psychologist Led Stalking Interventions (PLSI) and psychiatric input.
Information sharing
For people held by Probation or subject to a Stalking Protection Order, a discussion will be held with your Probation Practitioner or Police Offender Manager before the start of the intervention. During the intervention, your attendance and any issues regarding risk, will be communicated to your Probation Practitioner or Police Offender Manager and the Multi-Agency Stalking Partnership (Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Probation Service and Stop Domestic Abuse), in accordance with the Data Protection Act (2018). Other information that does not have any connection with risk will be treated confidentially according to NHS Trust policy.
How can I sign up to PLSI (Psychologist Led Stalking Intervention)?
To access support from the Multi-Agency Stalking Project, you need to be over 18 years old and living in Hampshire or the Isle of Wight and convicted of, or engaging in, stalking behaviour.
You may have been given a leaflet about PLSI by a Police Officer from Hampshire Constabulary and so can sign up yourself using the QR code or contacting us. Or you can be referred in through your Probation Practitioner or Police Offender Manager.
