This area of the website gives carers and families key information about supporting someone who is using our services.
It includes:
- Advice and information for carers (assessments, financial support, carers leads, and getting involved)
- Carers principles and our commitment to carers
- Triangle of care (this initiative promotes the importance of involving carers, alongside service users and staff)
- Carer booklets (these booklets provide information, advice and guidance to carers about the service; their rights to support; information on patient/service user advocacy; local peer support; and guidance to further information such as condition specific organisations, mental health act regulations and so on. Each booklet includes bespoke information for each team, tailored to each carers group, service and location).
Thursday 12 June – 2-3pm Carers support across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight
We hosted a virtual event with our partners to share the support that they provide to unpaid carers, families and friends across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
We recorded the session and it is available to download now, so please do find out about the support that Carers IOW, the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, Unpaid Carers Support Southampton, the Carers Centre Portsmouth and Carers Together provide.
We also recorded two podcasts
Trust Talks The Podcast S1:E5 - "What does it really mean to be a carer?"
and
Alex's story as a carer for his son.
