Social Workers

Social Work within the Trust is a diverse and rewarding career, where you have a real chance to make a difference to people's lives. Our Social Workers play a critical role in improving the overall wellbeing and mental health for our patients, their families and networks and their community. Our wide range of social work roles provide unique opportunities to build on their specialist skillset.

Our Social Workers are based in all Mental Health Services across the children and families, adults and older persons divisions within a range of settings in the community, inpatient care, forensic services and specialist teams such as Perinatal.

We encourage and advocate that Social Workers bring their professional training, core skills and value base, perspectives and specialist knowledge on legal literacy and strengths- based intervention to the multi- disciplinary teams working alongside other health colleagues and in partnership with our patients.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust are committed to the development of the Social Work profession and to high quality delivery of services.
