Why You're Here Matters
Facing the reality of stalking behaviour takes courage. It’s not easy to acknowledge when our actions cross a line, or when emotions take over in ways that harm others. But recognizing that something needs to change is the most powerful step you can take.
This isn’t about blame. It’s about ownership, support, and moving forward with the right tools and guidance.
MASP clinicians offer a range of psychological interventions tailored to suit your needs. These include:
If you are finding it difficult to move on from a relationship or a dispute, this intervention can help. You can engage voluntarily if the police have dropped charges, or you may have been asked to complete this as part of an Out of Court Resolution or by your Probation Practitioner.
PLSI FACT takes place over 9 weekly sessions, held face to face or online, an additional 3 sessions may be offered on a voluntary basis if your psychologist feels this is needed.
Based on Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT), PLSI FACT helps to identify changes you may want to make in your life and overcome any barriers to this. It helps you learn to cope with your emotions and recurrent thoughts and be kind to yourself. Together we will develop an understanding of the contact behaviours that led to police intervention and how to behave differently in the future. At the end of the intervention, you will be given a booklet summarising the intervention and additional resources and support services.
If you have tried to start a relationship with someone which has caused that person to feel upset and scared, but you are unsure what you did wrong, or how to start a relationship in another way, this intervention is for you.
You can engage voluntarily if the police have dropped charges, or you may have been asked to complete this as part of an Out of Court Resolution or by your Probation Practitioner.
PLSI Skillsbuilder takes place over 9 weekly sessions, held face to face or online, an additional 3 sessions may be offered on a voluntary basis if your psychologist feels this is needed.
PLSI Skills Builder will be adapted to your needs and will help you to understand how your behaviour affects others, and how to cope with your emotions and difficult thoughts. Together we will develop an understanding of the contact behaviours that led to police intervention and how to behave differently in the future. At the end of the therapy, you will be given a booklet about the intervention and extra resources and support services.
If you are struggling with psychiatric or psychological issues, have got into trouble with contacting or following people and have other life issues that are challenging, this is the intervention for you.
You can engage voluntarily if the police have dropped charges, or you may have been asked to complete this as part of an Out of Court Resolution or by your Probation Practitioner.
PLSI Intensive takes place over 12 weekly sessions, held face to face or online.
The type of therapy delivered will depend on your needs but will include helping you with the issues that are causing the obsessive behaviour, and helping you understand what stalking is and the legal consequences. Together we will develop an understanding of the contact behaviours that led to police intervention and how to behave differently in the future. At the end of the intervention, you will be given a booklet summarising the intervention and additional resources and support services.
