Introduction
Together, we have a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
We recognise the vital role we play in supporting our communities. We are committed to providing consistently high-quality, safe and effective mental health, learning disability, and community services with improved access, experience and outcomes for people across our area.
We face growing challenges, including increasing demand for services, the rising costs of care, workforce capacity and the diverse and growing needs of our population. To achieve our vision of outstanding care, thriving people and stronger communities we must adopt new approaches, work differently and address the wider issues that impact people’s health.
Partnership is vital. By engaging with our patients and service users, their families and carers, our staff, partners and communities, we will work together to co-produce improvements in our services. Keeping the voice of lived experience is central to all that we do and embedding our new CARE values will guide a strong and effective culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement. As a University Trust, we will ensure high quality research and education sits at the centre of our ongoing development.
Our new strategy is shaped by what people told us mattered most to them and strengthened by using data and evidence. It sets out our five-year vision and clearly aligns with the Integrated Care System and national NHS plans for community-based, preventative and technology-driven care. It will guide our work over the next five years and our strategic aims to improve population health outcomes, deliver outstanding care, improve staff experience and deliver better value for money.
Thank you for your support in defining this strategy, we have involved over 10,000 people and organisations to ensure our approach represents what really matters most. It is a collective vision for the future, built on collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitmentto excellence. Together, we will overcome challenges and seize opportunities to build a healthier future for the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
