Parklands Hospital is based in Basingstoke and has a variety of adult mental health wards, as well as various community hubs.

Beechwood Ward is an assessment and treatment ward providing care for older people who have functional mental health needs, such as depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. The ward has its own garden and seating area for patients and visitors.
Visiting hours are between 10am- 8.30pm and we ask visitors to avoid meal times.

Elmwood Ward is an 14-bedded ward providing care for older people who have organic mental health needs and are unable to look after themselves or be looked after at home. Some patients have early onset dementia. The ward has its own garden and seating area for patients and visitors and there is a sensory room to help improve cognitive functioning.
Visiting hours are between 10am- 8.30pm and we ask visitors to avoid meal times.

Hazel Ward is a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, also known as a PICU. This is a safe, secure and low stimulus ward environment, separate to the rest of an inpatient unit. Hazel has an increased number of staff per patient, allowing the team to provide more intensive care to patients.
Visiting hours are every day from 4.30-8.30pm.

Juniper Ward is a 18-bedded Male only ward for adults who have functional mental health needs and require an inpatient stay.
In addition, we have six specialist beds for serving Ministry of Defence personnel. We treat approximately 85 people each year from the Armed Forces with conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorder, bi-polar and schizophrenia.
Visiting hours are 4.30pm - 8.30pm (Monday to Friday) and 10.00am - 8.30pm (weekends).

How to get here
The hospital is located off the A340 Aldermaston Road, opposite St Michael’s Hospice. A number of buses (2, 5, 9 and 45) stop near Parklands Hospital or outside the main hospital.
