Royal South Hants is community hospital based in Southampton City Centre.
Lower Brambles and Fanshawe are inpatient wards which take patients from the acute sector and from the community providing rehabilitation. The therapy team work alongside our dedicated nursing team to support patients to reach their full potential. These wards are scheduled to re-locate in Summer 2024, following the successful completion of the new rehabilitation build at Western Community Hospital.
A range of health clinics are also run from the site including Podiatry, Dental and the Community Diabetes Service.
There is also an Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) that is run by Practice Plus Group.
A number of other services are provided by University Hospital Southampton.
Fanshawe Ward is a 19-bed inpatient rehabilitation ward for Older People and is based on level B of Royal South Hants.
Alongside the inpatient unit, other services include:
- Dental
- Solent Nicholstown GP Service
- Out-patient dermatology service
Lower Brambles Ward has 23 beds and houses the second of the two wards for Older People Rehabilitation on the RSH site and, under current plans, will relocate to the Western Community Hospital in summer 2024.
Mary Seacole Ward has no inpatient unit but is home to many services, including:
- Child physcial health
- Community diabetes service
- COPD
- Phlebotomy
- Podiatry
- Sexual Health
- Solent GP Surgery
