Solent Recovery College in Portsmouth will join the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Recovery College from 1 April.
This is part of a new, expanded service covering the whole of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, giving students access to a wide range of courses, more flexible learning options and support closer to home.
We have now paused all new enrolments for the month of April 2025, for those wanting to register an interest in the college, please email recovery.college@southernhealth.nhs.uk - We will inform you by email when enrolments have re-opend.
More information about the changes will be shared soon.
Mental illness can affect all of us. In fact, around one in four people will experience a mental illness at some point in their lives. The Recovery College takes an educational approach to equip you with the knowledge and skills to get on with your life, despite mental illness. The skills learned are relevant to all of us whether we’re health professionals, service users, or carers – the Recovery College welcomes all. If you’re a mental health professional, the courses on offer at The Recovery College are especially relevant and we encourage all staff working within our Trust's mental health services to enrol.
Please note, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2024 when Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Solent NHS Trust and some services from Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust merged to form a new organisation. You may find some resources reference our legacy organisations. New versions for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare will be available soon.
