Kite Unit

About the service

The Kite Unit is a neuro psychiatric rehabilitation service for individuals with a brain injury whose impairments are largely in the cognitive, behavioural or mental health spectrum.

What we do

Providing multi-disciplinary care to help with assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and disability management for people requiring slow stream rehabilitation that may not be available from other services.

Find out more about the service in the video below.

Accessing the service

Men and women aged 18 years and over who have a cognitive neurological impairment and who have rehabilitation needs that require the skill of at least three members of the multidisciplinary team. Patients must have the potential to benefit significantly from time limited involvement.

A cost per case service with no geographical boundaries.

Please note: We are unable to meet the needs of individuals with non-neurological problems or multi-pathology and patients with neuro-degenerative diseases, where the current problem does not need specialised neuro rehabilitation.
