About the service
The adolescent eating disorders day service is a 9-week programme providing treatment for young people between the ages of 13-18 years. It is sometimes known as the Blake Day Service.
What we do
We provide:
- A 9 week group programme, Monday – Friday including meal support, family meal support and multi family therapy.
- Psychology groups – emotional coping skills
- Occupational therapy groups - sensory and personal identity
- Dietician groups and support with meal plans
- Education – continued education in line with their current education package provided by Hampshire County Council
We aim to empower families to support their young people.
Accessing the service
You will need to contact your GP who can make a referral to the Community Child & Adolescent Mental Health Team (CAMHS) or your Adolescent Eating Disorder Service for assessment.
CAMHS will refer to the specialist eating disorders teams, who will determine what support and treatment is required, and may then refer to the Adolescent Eating Disorders day programme for treatment.
Referral information for professionals
We can only accept referrals from the Hampshire and Solent Adolescent Eating Disorder Services.
