Talking Therapies

NHS Talking Therapies are the NHS's primary care service for common mental health issues. The service works with patients using a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

They support people to improve their mental wellbeing through education, guided self-help tools and evidence-based talking therapies.

NHS Talking Therapies are a primary care service, which means they work alongside GPs to help people recover from the most common mental health problems like anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD and phobias. It also means the service you use will be linked to your GP and the postcode you live in.

Across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight a number of talking therapy services exist. The quickest and easiest way to find which NHS Talking Therapies service is appropriate for you is to visit www.talkingtherapieshiow.nhs.uk.
