Newly qualified nurses - Children and Family Services

Congratulations on becoming a qualified nurse! Now that you’ve completed your nursing degree, there are many routes to explore.

Improving health outcomes starts early in life and that’s why becoming a health visitor or school nurse is a vital public health role. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Children and Family Services works in a preventative way to empower children and families to take control of their health and wellbeing. This is your chance to work with the local population to improve the daily lives of young people in Hampshire.

Llewana is a mum and enjoys a flexible working week.

After seeing how much support her sister got throughout her pregnancy, Llewana knew from a young age that she wanted to work within the NHS and be able to make that difference for people. Now that she is a mum herself, Llewana really values the flexibility and work-life balance she is able to have, being a health visitor.
