Between May and July, the partner organisations involved in Project Fusion ran a focused period of engagement to seek views about key aspects of the new organisation - via surveys, meetings and events. Called ‘Shape our New Trust’, this included asking questions to help shape the vision, values, clinical priorities and the operating model of the Trust. We also sought suggestions for what the new trust could be called. Thanks to all who took part and shared their views. Feedback was considered by senior leaders from the four current providers in July who used the feedback to agree key themes to inform decision making about the new Trust. Some of the themes, which build upon feedback from previous engagement, include:
-
Services to be organised around communities and their needs, but with consistent care across the Trust, reducing any ‘postcode lottery’
-
Better access, with reduced waiting times and a better response when in crisis, is key
-
Clearer information about support and the services available to people and how to access these
-
Clinical priorities to be communicated using simpler and more everyday language
-
Regarding the new Trust's values, key words were compassion, respect, accountability and trust.
There will be further opportunities to help shape the organisation in the coming months. In the meantime please get in touch at project.fusion@hiow.nhs.uk with any questions or comments.
