What to expect for your referral
Before making a referral to our service you may be required to have tried local support resources or interventions before the referral will be accepted.
We have an integrated referral form offering the choice of service you require. You can refer to more than one service if needed, in which case a fully integrated assessment will take place.
Our Fatigue Service supports children and young people who experience Long Covid or fatigue for more than 12 weeks.
We accept referrals through GP. If your child or teenager is experiencing long term symptoms or problems from COVID-19, or have ongoing persistent fatigue, brain fog, pain, breathing difficulties, headaches, anxiety, low mood and sleep disturbances, they may need support. Your GP will be able to refer you for specialist help and support. A blood test will be needed to rule out other causes of fatigue. The service has temporary funding at present.
Don't delay looking for help if you need it - visit your GP.
Our service information leaflets:
- Fatigue service leaflet for school and education settings (Word document, 223 KB)
- Fatigue service information for families and helpful resources (Word document, 230 KB)
Here are some useful resources to enable early support and management. This is what you can do now:

Meanwhile, you can contact the service if you need more advice on 0300 300 2019.
