Do you want to have more of a say in shaping local healthcare services? We are seeking people to fill four governor vacancies: one Public Governor in North Hampshire and three Service User and Carer Governor roles. These positions offer the opportunity to represent local voices and help influence the future of NHS services.
Governors are local people with an interest in healthcare who want to help improve services for the benefit of their community. As members of the Council of Governors, they provide a vital link between the public and the Trust, helping to communicate the views, experiences and concerns of local people. Governors work to champion the needs of the communities they represent, including patients, families and carers, and help shape the way healthcare services are developed and delivered. They also play an important role in asking constructive questions, listening to different perspectives, and promoting stronger connections between the Trust and the communities it serves.
The role is ideal for people who are enthusiastic, committed and keen to make a difference. Governors should be willing to learn, work collaboratively with others, and contribute to discussions that support the continued improvement of local healthcare services. Training and support will be provided by the Trust.
